An Autumn leaf
Drifting in the wind
Sticks to a cold, glass window-pane
And weeps for the loss
Of it's lonely tree
Someone tell it
About life and loss.
An Autumn leaf
Drifting in the wind
Sticks to the fingers of a little boy
And smiles between the pages
Of his picture-book
It tells us what
We ought to leave behind.

That was really nice :)
dear stranger, i am an intermittent reader of your blog. i like very much some of the poetry you've written - i think you write beautifully. i do check back once in a while to see if you've written something new. since in one of your posts you mention lines from a story you read long back, there were a couple that were my favorites too. i read them many years back - so long back in fact that those years seem like from another life. i am including links to those below. i do hope that you'll like them. it is my way to thank you for what you write and on some days that are just crazy or sad, i am able to read and reflect upon your writings and feel happy about ....about nothing in particular.
here are the links..someone has uploaded it and i was lucky to find this after so many years !!

well....stranger...aren't ya going to say something ? we could..sort of talk right here, in the comments section. i am not going to tell you that i have eagerly checked your blog since i last wrote to you, because I would imagine that you write for only yourself...expectations from wayward, anonymous surfers that stumble upon this little gem of yours perchance is only incidental and none of your responsibility i reckon...
Dear Anonymous, I read the exact comments(as your comment posted on May 11) under my earlier poem "dear stranger' to which I had posted a reply. But thank you again. And yes, I do write for myself...the only times I hop into my blog is when I have the whim to write and these occasions are not very frequent. I'm just another pragmatic person who pretends to be a writer for a few moments every now and then. I'm glad you enjoy what I write, though.
i had been meaning to write...leave a comment for you here....a little corner of the world that had allowed us to communicate fleetingly three years back. so i came back. its nice to find that you've put a little profile liza. have spent the rest of the morning catching up on what i've missed. all the little nuggets.. so dear stranger no more, i am glad to be back
Hi Anonymous! Welcome back. Good to hear from you after the long hiatus. I have been a little more regular lately with posts. Hope you enjoy my new stuff. Indeed, we're not exactly strangers anymore.
How have you been Liza..yes I did like the new stuff you had posted. Been more than five years since I wrote to you first...and been coming to this corner of the world intermittently, and it is always such a pleasure.
I've been good. How about you?
Five years indeed! I'm glad you like this little corner of my world enough to keep coming back for a little bit more. Thank you.
I almost missed your comment today because I don't usually revisit my old posts. For some reason I thought of you and came to read the comments. It's easier to keep up if you leave a comment on my latest post. Take care.
